Founded by Mareko Brown, MenTalk Growth, Inc. started with a vison of creating a program that would aid in breaking the idea of “toxic masculinity”.

In September of 2020, my family faced a great deal of pain after the unexpected passing of Marcus Travell Gray, our oldest brother. Preceding his passing he went through a severe depressed state of mind. Dealing with this loss took a great toll on my mental health as well, finding myself attached to my couch with no drive for life. I heard a voice saying, “get-up and work”. Within the days to come, a vision of defeating this stigma of mental health became clear to me. I then wanted to make sure to honor my brother in this fight with creating an organization that brought awareness to mental health within our urban communities among black men but not limited too. I wanted to create a platform that will not only bring awareness but will also provide guidance to excellent and valuable treatment of coping with life issues as they arise.

No matter who you are, maintaining a stable and substantial state of Mental Health is key, I wanted to make sure to build up all generations with proper and effective support as well as treatment for mental and physical healthy lifestyles. With this, I have created MenTalk Growth Inc, a platform where our mission is “to build and promote healthy mindsets within urban communities and aid in the development of great mental and physical health of men of all ages.” While having the vision “to educate and support the growth and development of both mentally and physically healthy lifestyles within the community.”
